STEM Grants Initiative

Instructions: Please review the following information prior to filling out the application below.

What is the STEM Grants Initiative?

The STEM Grants Initiative offers schools and informal education providers serving high populations of underserved students the opportunity to access a Kid Spark STEM program at a reduced cost. This program brings hands-on STEM education to elementary and middle school students, helping them build critical skills and mindsets that improve academic performance, enhance social-emotional development, and prepare them for future success in the 21st century.

Who is eligible to apply?

Eligible participants include public U.S. elementary schools, preschools, middle schools, Head Start programs, and non-profit organizations serving high populations of Title 1 students. Providers offering in-school instruction or formal afterschool and summer school programs are encouraged to apply.

While homeschools and private schools are not eligible, you are welcome to submit an application even if you’re unsure of your eligibility. We will be happy to review it and follow up with you.

What can applicants expect during the application process?

In the grant application, applicants will provide details about their school or organization, including grade levels served, student population, typical class size, and other relevant information.

The application will be carefully reviewed, and a tailored proposal will be created to best support the applicant's needs. This proposal will include the total program cost, with the STEM Grant applied to reduce the cost.

How long will it take to process an application?

All applications are carefully reviewed, and we will respond within 5 business days of submission.
